Covid 19 tightening its grip.

In the last 24 hours, India recorded 1,68,912 new Covid 19 cases. This has pushed the country’s caseload to over 1.35 crore. The resurgence of Covid 19 led to 904 new deaths in the past 24 hours taking the total count to 1,70,179.

Currently,  India’s covid-19 cases stand second-highest globally. The United States stands first and  Brazil stands third.

Among states, Maharashtra remains the worst hit with 63,294 new cases and 394 deaths in the last 24 hours. Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Andra Pradesh follows Maharashtra. Delhi also witnessed the highest single-day spike with 10,774 new cases and 48 deaths.

Central teams reported non-adherence to Covid 19 protocols and rules in those states where cases have surged. The state government must take adequate steps to ensure strict adherence to Covid 19 protocols.
