Sabarimala tense after2 women prevented by angry devotees

Two women prevented from entering the Sabarimala temple by angry devotees, days after two others became the first to offer prayers at the shrine. Resma and Sanila, residents of Kannur, dressed as men, covered almost 5.5-kilometer treck to the hilltop shrine but were intercepted by angry devotees in the morning. They used the lean time early in the morning. To dodge protesters and started at 5 am.

They were stopped in Neelimala as large numbers of protesters lay on the path leading to the temple to stop them from further. The drama continued for two hours and police removed them forcefully
